Having always of been a fan of Mike Giant’s artwork. Here at engratek we couldn’t help but do a piece with some of his artwork laser etched into it for our office.
Better known for his worldwide streetart and tattoo culture footprint, Mike was born colorblind and shortsighted. His remarkable career has also encompassed graphic design, photography and drawing while creating a single, unmistakable aesthetic. Giant’s clean line work, almost always in black; is influenced by both Mexican art and Japanese illustration, as well as a background in architectural drawing, and has made him one of the most celebrated contemporary artists around today.
Here is one of his Deutsch typography illustrations we have etched onto 3mm plywood soon to be framed for our office 🙂
